This Window and Microsoft

Creating strategic alliances between companies or individuals enables shared goals to be achieved for mutual benefit. You don’t need to be a large organisation to gain from cooperation; sometimes big fish need smaller fish to help develop ideas and strategies. Get out there and find a partner. During the summer of 2009, Windows and ReverbNation formed a strategic alliance that enabled independent musicians and artists to give away their music for free while still being paid through sponsorship. This was a radical “win–win” business model: the sponsor, Windows , embedded advertising into the cover artwork of the downloadable MP3, and the artist received payment. Although the payment per download was lower than platforms such as iTunes or Amazon, the value in exposure and reaching a wider audience was generous compensation. Participating artists were later given the opportunity to allow their “Sponsored Song” to continue as a free download in a new arch...

Sin hogar bajo un puente

Homeless Under a Bridge  forms part of III Convocatoria Internacional Morada Sónica 2026: Escuchas para una Ciudad Mecánica , a wide‑ranging international project that invites artists to rethink the modern city as a living, grinding, malfunctioning machine. La semilla de la pieza proviene...

The Goat — A Study in Outsider Compilation Culture Buy On Discogs A Various‑Artists Release With a Curatorial Edge Although technically a “Various Artists” release, The Goat feels curated rather than assembled. Each track contributes a distinct texture — from abrasive electronics to lo‑fi guitar sketches, from rhythmic experiments to atmospheric drift pieces. The sequencing is deliberate: the compilation moves like a mixtape made by someone with a deep affection for the obscure and the overlooked. Rather than smoothing the edges, the release celebrates them. The result is a portrait of a scene that doesn’t quite exist in one place, but emerges through shared sensibilities: independence, experimentation, and a refusal to conform to commercial expectations.
